43-year-old Trevor J Conklin dead after a motorcycle crash on I-90 (Spokane, WA)

On Saturday morning, a motorcycle crash took the life of 43-year-old Trevor J Conklin on I-90.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place on I-90, east of mile marker 297. The reports showed that a motorcycle was behind a car traveling on I-90 in the left lane when the car slowed down for heavy traffic. The motorcycle hit the car as a result of which both the occupants of the motorcycle were ejected.

Officials initially reported that a life-flight medical helicopter picked up the motorcyclist who was critically injured but it was later confirmed that the victim, identified as 43-year-old Trevor J Conklin from Spokane, was declared deceased at the scene. On the other hand, a 13-year-old passenger of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

Both occupants of the motorcycle were wearing DOT-compliant helmets at the time of the collision. The driver of the car was reportedly wearing a seatbelt at that time. A detour is in effect via Liberty Lake on Appleway Boulevard. Investigators said that the left lane will remain blocked as crews worked at the scene.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
