A tragic incident occurred in Paso Robles, California, where a driver allegedly fled the scene after a crash that resulted in the death of one passenger and left two others hospitalized. The California Highway Patrol identified the driver as Angel Melquiades Ramos, 20.
The victim was driving a grey 2008 BMW 328i at a high speed on Creston Road around 12:29 a.m. The vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons, overturned multiple times, and ejected all three passengers who were not wearing seat belts.
One 43-year-old passenger from Santa Maria was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others suffered major injuries and were transported to Sierra Vista Medical Center. Melquiades Ramos fled but was arrested later for felony hit and run and vehicular manslaughter.
