The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of a hit-and-run crash that took place in Bakersfield on Thursday. 43-year-old Martin Williams was killed in this crash.
At around 3:00 a.m., Martin Williams was struck by a Black Camaro vehicle in the 800 block of Union Avenue when he was crossing the road. Williams was found to be critically injured and was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
