A tragic collision in Young County claimed the life of a 43-year-old woman, Kerri Forbus of Newcastle. The multi-vehicle accident occurred around 12:55 p.m. on Saturday on U.S. Highway 380, six miles east of Graham.
Forbus, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox West when she failed to maintain her lane. This caused her to enter oncoming traffic and collide with a 2011 Ford F-150, driven by Marian Scott, 60, of Bacliff, Texas.
Scott, along with another individual, Steven William, 69, of Decatur, was injured in the fatal crash and transported to Graham Regional Medical Center. Forbus was pronounced dead at the scene.
