According to the Union City Police Department, Karen Prado, who was riding at the back of a motorcycle was fatally injured in a multi-vehicle accident in Union City.
The crash occurred at around 2:50 p.m., on the 1600 block of Whipple Road. The motorcycle rammed into a van which caused the death of Karen Prado of Hayward, who was riding on the back of the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the van remained at the scene for investigation.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
