43-year-old Elza Cisneros Gonzalez died after a two-vehicle accident in Quincy last month (Quincy, WA)

Authorities identified 43-year-old Elza Cisneros Gonzalez, from Mattawa, as the woman who lost her life after a traffic collision that happened on May 10 in Quincy.

The fatal two-vehicle accident took place on State Route 281. The investigation reports showed that a minivan driven by Gonzalez tried to turn onto the highway from White Trail Road when her vehicle was hit by an oncoming pickup truck. Elza Cisneros Gonzalez was rushed to hospital with major injuries. Gonzalez succumbed to her injuries on June 6.

The driver of the truck, identified as 32-year-old Pedro Zavala Gomez of Quincy, and a 3-year-old passenger in the minivan received unspecified injuries as a result of the wreck, and were transported to area hospitals. Possible charges against Gomez are still pending. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
