According to the California Highway Patrol, 42-year-old Violetta Serata was identified as the victim who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in the North Highlands on Thursday.
At around 9:43 p.m., a vehicle that was traveling westbound at Walerga Road and Elkhorn Boulevard, Violetta Seraua, was struck by a vehicle. She was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The officials have not disclosed any details regarding the vehicle involved in the collision. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
