42-Year-Old Man Killed In A Motor Vehicle Collision In Buttonwillow (Buttonwillow, CA)

The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a person in Buttonwillow on Wednesday. 

Approximately at 12:15 p.m., a 42-year-old man was driving a Kia Soul on Southbound Highway 43. The vehicle swerved off northbound into the path of a semi-truck that was heading northbound. Then the driver of the Kia struck the side of the truck causing the Kia to roll over. 

The driver of the Kia was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. The officials have not disclosed any details regarding the driver of the truck.

It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
