42-year-old Jerry Bolland dead after a hit-and-run crash in Clark County (Clark County, WA)

Authorities identified 42-year-old Jerry Bolland, from Idaho, as the man who lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while changing a tire early Thursday in Clark County.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at about 12:30 a.m. on I-205 near the 134th Street exit in Salmon Creek. The preliminary reports showed that Jerry Bolland was reportedly changing a tire on his white 1998 Pontiac Bonneville on the shoulder of the highway when an oncoming vehicle hit the 42-year-old.

On arrival, first responders rushed Bolland to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver fled the scene after the collision. Authorities have not released a description of the suspect or the hit-and-run vehicle. No further information is available.

The incident remains under active review.
