The Santa Fe Police Department reported a pedestrian accident on Monday evening. The exact area of the accident has not been mentioned by the authorities.
According to the officials, a pedestrian was walking next to a vehicle on the right side of the road. As the vehicle passed, the man started to run across the three lanes of traffic. A different vehicle was in the left lane and was not able to stop in time despite having seen the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have identified the man as 42-year-old Isaac Edward John Trujillo.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
