On late Saturday night, 42-year-old Charmaine Deshun Morris lost his life after his vehicle went off the road and crashed into a group of trees on a Marshall street.
Officials actively responded to the area of 2100 block of Elysian Fields at around 11:02 p.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle accident. The early reports showed that a vehicle, driven by Charmaine Deshun Morris, of Marshall, swerved off the road and hit a group of trees.
On arrival, emergency responders used a hydraulic rescue tool to free Morris from his wrecked vehicle. He was rushed to CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall where he later succumbed to his injuries. No other details are made available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
