On Sunday afternoon, 42-year-old Celna Meza-Ibarra, from Milton-Freewater, suffered injuries following a car crash in Walla Walla County.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle collision took place on Highway 12 about 10 miles east of Pasco. The early reports showed that Celna Meza-Ibarra was driving a 2019 Nissan Altima west when she failed to maintain control of her car and crashed into a 2007 Toyota Corolla.
On arrival, medical personnel transported Meza-Ibarra to Lourdes Medical Center, Pasco with unspecified injuries. The driver of the Toyota, 34-year-old Christopher Olsen, of Walla Walla, remained unharmed. Both the victims were buckled up at the time of the accident. Charges are pending against Meza-Ibarra. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
