42-year-old Cassandra Womack dead after a two-vehicle accident in Livingston Parish (Livingston Parish, LA)

On Thursday, 42-year-old Cassandra Womack, of Baton Rouge, lost her life following a two-vehicle collision in Livingston Parish.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place on LA Hwy 1026 (Lockhart Rd.) at the intersection of Eden Church Road in Livingston Parish. The early reports showed that Womack was heading north on Eden Church Road in a 2015 Audi Q3 while a 2008 Dodge Ram was going east on LA Hwy 1026.  Womack ran a stop sign and went into the eastbound lane of LA Hwy 1026 in front of the Dodge.

The Dodge struck the driver’s side door of the Audi. Womack suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. On arrival, medics rushed her to a local hospital, where she later died of her injuries. The driver of the Dodge incurred only minor injuries. Toxicology samples were taken from both drivers for analysis. No additional information was released.

The crash remains under investigation.
