A man lost his life in a three-vehicle fatal crash on Gateway East in El Paso on Saturday evening. Adrian Dominguez, 42, was driving a VW bug eastbound on Gateway East with a red light.
Simultaneously, a 24-year-old man in a Dodge Charger was heading south on Giles with a green light. The Charger collided with the VW bug, pushing it into a stopped expedition. Dominguez sustained serious injuries and later died at a hospital.
Special Traffic Investigators attribute the multi-vehicle accident to disregarding a red light. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role as well. No information was provided on injuries to occupants of the other vehicles involved.
