According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a fatal crash was reported in Cypress. Officials confirmed that three people died due to the motor vehicle accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred near Greenhouse and Towne Lake. The driver of a 2021 black Cadillac Escalade ran a stop sign at the intersection and struck a golf cart.

Three victims inside the golf cart were identified as 41-year-old Christopher Scandridge, 37-year-old Fraser Anderson and 37-year-old Jacob Wnuk. Scandridge and Wnuk were pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Anderson was transported to the hospital but later pronounced dead.

The cause of the wreck has been identified as the alcohol influence of the driver. The crash continues to be investigated by the TDPS.
