The New Braunfels Police Department reported a two-vehicle accident on Thursday. The accident occurred in the 1000 block of FM 306, near the intersection with Hunter Road at about 1:45 a.m.
Acccording to the officials, two Dodge Ram pickup trucks had crashed into each other head-on. A white pickup had been heading north when it collided with a black pickup heading south.
The driver of the white pick-up, identified as 41-year-old Reva Garza, had incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. There were two male passengers, 19 and 25, were also critically injured but are now in stable condition.
The driver of the other truck, identified as Juan Sebastian Vargas, was arrested on the charge of intoxication assault with a vehicle.
The fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. There are no other details available at this time.
