41-Year-Old Marvin Champlain Died In A Single-Vehicle Crash On LA Hwy 527 (Webster Parish, LA)

Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a single-vehicle crash on LA Hwy 527 on October 15, Saturday. 

The victim was identified as 41-year-old Marvin Champlain. 

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by Champlain south Highway at a high rate of speed. For reasons unknown, Champlain veered off the road and was thrown from the motorcycle. 

According to the Webster Parish Coroner, Champlain was not wearing a DOT-approved helmet. 

Champlain sustained fatal injuries from the crash and died at the scene. 

It is unclear if alcohol was a factor. Routine toxicology samples were obtained and sent for analysis. 

The crash remains under investigation.
