41-year-old man killed after a car slammed into a concrete barrier in Barrio Logan (San Diego, CA)

A 41-year-old man lost his life after a traffic collision Wednesday in Barrio Logan.

As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place in San Diego. The preliminary reports showed that a silver 2007 Saturn driven by a 41-year-old man was approaching a red light on west Main Street. At that point of time, a 21-year-old woman in a 2005 Ford Focus had a green light to enter eastbound traffic from Interstate 15 exit at about 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The reports also revealed that the man swerved to the left, around two vehicles stopped at the red light, and clipped the Ford Focus, causing the woman’s car to spin through the intersection. The man lost control of his car and slammed into the concrete railing on the roadway. The man was declared dead at the scene by the officials. It is unknown if the incident caused any other injuries. No other information is available.

The accident remains under investigation.
