The Killeen Police Department reported a pedestrian accident on Saturday morning. The accident occurred on Interstate 14, near mile marker 285, at around 3:39 a.m.
According to the officials, a vehicle and a man were involved in a collision. The vehicle was headed down the highway when it crashed into the victim.
The victim was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have identified the victim as 41-year-old Emiliano Alfredo Marin.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
