The Kennewick Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday night. The accident occurred on Vancouver Street near Seventh Avenue at 11:20 p.m. 

According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the collision. A motorcycle was headed south on Vancouver when it was hit by a Buick sedan. The sedan had been heading west on Seventh at the time. 

The driver of the motorcycle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have identified the victim as 40-year-old Timothy McFarland. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. The officials have reported that they suspect speed to have played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
