The Washington State Patrol reported a deadly single-vehicle crash in Richland.
The accident occurred on Interstate 182 near milepost 1.
According to the officials, the victim was driving at a high speed which was not recommended given the road conditions. She lost control of the car and it rolled through the median before coming to a rest on the shoulder.
The victim, identified as 40-year-old Stephanie Hall Mullen, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The right lanes of the interstate were closed while the investigation took place.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal accident.
There are no other details available at the moment.
