According to the San Diego Police Department, a 40-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian crash in Mira Mesa on Monday.
Approximately at 7:40 p.m., an SUV traveling on Mira Mesa Boulevard and Westview Parkway, struck the 40-year-old man as he was walking on the crosswalk. The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
