A 40-year-old man lost his life after a vehicle hits a motorized scooter Saturday near Watts.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place at around 10:50 p.m. Saturday. The preliminary reports showed that the 19-year-old was driving a vehicle eastbound on Imperial Highway when he turned left onto Grandee Avenue, where his vehicle struck a man riding the motorized scooter.
On arrival, medics immediately took the victim to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. It was not immediately clear if the 19-year-old man was cited or arrested. No other details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
