A 40-year-old man lost his life following a rollover crash Monday night in Spring.
As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place at about 9 p.m. The early reports showed that a Kia Sol driven by a 40-year-old man was speeding on Sawdust Road when it struck a curb entering a curve on Grogan’s Mill. The car was then launched over the guardrail due to the impact and flipped at least five times before resting on Sawdust Court.
The South Montgomery County Fire Department responded to the scene and, on arrival, freed the man and performing CPR on him for a lengthy amount of time before pronouncing him dead. As the car was rolling, it collided with multiple signs in the Cube-Smart Storage parking lot, eventually hitting the AT&T Communications box before brushing a tree as the vehicle was almost standing on end.
The car moved another 30 feet before coming to a stop on the road. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
The crash remains under review.
