40-year-old man dead after a single-vehicle accident in Knoxville (Knoxville, TN)

On early Sunday morning, a 40-year-old man lost his life following a single-vehicle accident in Knoxville.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of Central Avenue Pike at Bookwalter Drive at about 4 a.m. after getting reports of a car crash. The early reports showed that a Chrysler Sedan was heading south along Central Avenue Pike when it swerved off the road and hit a concrete culvert. The driver was partly ejected from the vehicle as he was not buckled up at the time of the collision.

On arrival, emergency responders found the driver of the car dead at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The victim’s body was taken to the Knox County Regional Forensic Center for further examination. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation is ongoing.
