The Pomona Police Department reported a pedestrian accident that claimed the life of a 40-year-old in Pomona. According to the officials, a vehicle and a pedestrian were involved in a collision.
At around 6:20 p.m., a 40-year-old was attempting to cross the road at the intersection of Temple Avenue and Foley Way and was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle involved fled before the officials arrived.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
