On Saturday evening, 40-year-old Eric Russell Jackson, of Knoxville, suffered injuries after crashing his vehicle into a tree in Knox County.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place on Oak Ridge Highway in West Knoxville. The early reports showed that Eric Russell Jackson was heading west on Oak Ridge Highway and went in the right turn lane for Beaver Ridge Road when his 2008 Ford F-450 struck a cement curb near the intersection. Jackson failed to maintain control of the vehicle and hit an embankment.
After that, his vehicle continued off the side of the road and crashed into a tree. The truck ended up in the creek beside the tree on the north side of the roadway. Jackson suffered unknown injuries in the accident. According to the officials, charges are pending the result of an investigation by the THP. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
