40-year-old Anika Armer, 40-year-old Alison Taylor and 37-year-old Kirk Jackson Jr. killed in a wreck (Shreveport, LA)

On Saturday morning, 40-year-old Anika Armer of Shreveport, 40-year-old Alison Taylor of Lancaster, Texas, and 37-year-old Kirk Jackson Jr. of Bossier City lost their lives and three others suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle pile-up on I-20 in Shreveport.

According to the responding officers, six vehicles were involved in the wreck, including four motorcycles, a truck, and a Toyota Solara. Police actively responded to a reckless vehicle on the side of Interstate 20. Before their arrival, the Solara struck the abandoned truck and four motorcyclists were caught in the debris.

Crews had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate two people from the Solara. Officials mentioned that Anika Armer, Alison Taylor and Kirk Jackson Jr. succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Emergency crews rushed three other victims to Ochsner LSU Health with serious injuries. Officials closed Interstate 20 west, a little after 2 a.m. as responders cleared the crash scene.
