The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles that claimed the lives of four people in Mojave on Friday. The accident occurred at around 8:41 p.m., near the south end of Horse Canyon Road.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in a collision. A Mercedes driven by a 61-year-old collided with a jeep. Both drivers were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene. Two occupants of both vehicles were also killed as a result.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
