Four people, including two children received injuries following a traffic collision Tuesday in Katy.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place on Kingsland Boulevard and Pickford Drive at about 7 a.m. The early reports showed that a METRO bus and Katy ISD bus were involved in the crash. Katy ISD police and EMS responded to the scene.
According to officials with METRO, one adult attendant on the school bus was taken to the hospital via Life Flight. Two of the five students riding the bus were shifted to a nearby hospital by ambulance with non-critical injuries. The operator on the Park & Ride bus was taken by ground ambulance.
There were no passengers on the Park & Ride bus at the time of the collision. The remaining students on board the bus were released to their parents or transported by another bus to their campuses, Katy ISD stated in a statement. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
