The Tucson Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Sunday evening. The collision involved two vehicles. The accident happened close to Eligin at milepost 43 on SR 82 east of Sonoita at around 3:50 p.m.
Four people were reported to have died in the crash. The names and identities of the victims haven’t been made public yet.
It is unsure what caused the crash and how it happened. The events leading up to the accident have not been reported at this time.
Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found. Just before 6:30 o’clock, the westbound lanes were reopened. The fatal collision is being investigated by the officials. Additional details regarding the crash are not available currently.
