4 People Dead 9 Others Injured In A Multi-Vehicle Accident In Hopkins County (Hopkins County, TX)

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Hopkins County on Sunday. 

The crash happened on State Highway 19 at around 5:44 p.m. 

According to the officials,  a Ford E Series van, two Toyota Avalons, and two unknown vehicles were involved in the collision. 

The driver of the Ford failed to control his speed and struck the rear Avalon pushing it into the southbound lane. 

According to the report, it also collided with two other vehicles. 

60-year-old Celestino Reina, 60-year-old Celia Reina, 22-year-old Maria Reina and 7-year-old Dariul Rodriguez were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Police, nine others suffered significant injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment. 

No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
