The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of the motor vehicle crash that took place in Clovis on Monday as 39-year-old Silas Ruiz.
Silas Ruiz, riding his vehicle on Highway 168 and Shaw Avenue, lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then swerved off the road and crashed into a fence. Ruiz was critically injured and was transported to the hospital. He was pronounced dead later.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
