39-year-old Pablo Lopez Chavez killed after a single-vehicle crash on State Route 8 (Elma, WA)

On Sunday, 39-year-old Pablo Lopez Chavez, from Aberdeen, lost his life following a single-vehicle accident on State Route 8.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place at about 1:40 a.m. at the US 12 interchange. The early reports showed that a westbound 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by a 15-year-old boy, swerved left and crashed into a bridge.

One of the occupants, Pablo Lopez Chavez succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Medics took the teen driver to an area hospital for treatment. The six other occupants, including three children and two teens remained unharmed. No further details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
