39-year-old Nicole Haggerty dead after a hit-and-run crash in Union Gap; driver sought (Union Gap, WA)

Officials identified 39-year-old Nicole Haggerty as the woman who lost her life following a traffic collision on Monday in Union Gap.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash was reported moments before 4 PM in the 1800 block of Rainier Place near the 76 gas station. On arrival, officials found the victim who had been ejected from the vehicle due to the crash.

Emergency personnel rushed Nicole Haggerty to a hospital where she later died of her injuries. According to the authorities, the driver failed to stop and drove away. The suspect was described as an adult man who travelled westbound of Rainier Place near South 18th Street in an early model white Chrysler Sebrin.

An eyewitness informed the responders that there had been a physical fight between Haggerty and the man driving the vehicle that led to the crash. No other information has been provided by the authorities.

An investigation is ongoing.
