The Texas DPS reported a motor vehicle accident in Rusk County on Monday at 10 p.m. According to the officials, Klayton Wilson was driving a Ford F-250 pickup west on FM 1798 near Laneville.
He was driving at an unsafe speed, causing him to skid across the eastbound lane at a curve. The truck ran off the road and struck a tree on the driver’s side. He was fatally injured and declared dead at UT Health in Tyler. Wilson belonged to Henderson.
It is not known if anyone else was hurt in the accident. It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in this collision. There are no other details available at this time.
