In a tragic incident on Friday, a fatal crash occurred in Mojave on Randsburg Cutoff Road, a mile west of Highway 14. This was confirmed by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
This multi-vehicle accident happened around 10:12 p.m. One of the people present in the vehicle, identified as 39-year-old Garret William Houston, a resident of Tehachapi was fatally injured and was pronounced dead.
According to KCSO reports, Houston was operating a motor vehicle when it collided with another. The California Highway Patrol in Mojave is still investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
