According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident that took place in Somis claimed the life of a 38-year-old woman from Oxnard on Sunday.

At around 10:00 a.m., the woman traveling at the intersection, Aggen Road, lost control of the vehicle, swerved off the road, and rammed into a pole. The woman was critically injured and was rushed to the hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
