The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident on Sunday at midnight. The accident happened at around 1:55 a.m. The collision involved only one vehicle.
According to the CHP, a Nissan Sentra carrying two people struck the guardrail on the Concord Avenue off-ramp while travelling south.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The right front passenger was severely injured in the collision and was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Felix Vasquez, 38. It is unsure what caused the crash. The fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. Additional information regarding the deadly crash is not available currently.
