Louisiana State Police is investigating a motor vehicle crash that claimed a life. The crash occurred on Interstate 59 in Slidell on Wednesday night at 9:30 p.m.
According to the authorities, Errol Childs, 38, from Mississippi, was killed when a pickup truck slammed into a utility pole and engulfed in flames. Childs was a passenger in the truck.
The car driver and the second passenger were taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
It is unclear what caused the crash and whether the car occupants were restrained.
