A tragic incident unfolded in El Cajon on Sunday when a 37-year-old woman lost her life in a collision involving her pickup truck and a parked semi-truck trailer. According to the El Cajon Police Department, the fatal crash occurred around 1:19 a.m. in the 800 block of West Bradley Avenue near the Golden State Flying Club at Gillespie Field.
The driver, traveling westbound on the avenue, collided with the unoccupied, parked semi-trailer on the north curb line. Responding officers discovered the victim deceased in the driver’s seat of the truck upon arrival.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. As investigations continue into this multi-vehicle accident, no further details have been released at this time.
