37-Year-Old Woman Injured In A Pedestrian Accident In Petaluma (Petaluma, CA)

The California Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian accident early Sunday. 

The accident occurred in the lane from northbound state Route 163 to eastbound Interstate 8 around 1.45 a.m. 

A 37-year-old woman was walking down the freeway lane when she was hit by a Kia sedan. 

Upon the arrival of the officials and the paramedics, the woman was examined and sent to a hospital. She was reported to have suffered major injuries. 

The officials reported that she was in stable condition as of Monday. Her injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening. 

The identity of the victim has not been disclosed. 

The driver of the Kia remained at the scene after the collision. After an investigation, the officials say that they were not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
