The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was identified as 37-year-old William Eric Haisler, 37, of Tyler.
Around 11:15 p.m., the crash happened at the intersection of East Gentry Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Erbaugh said when officers arrived on scene they found a man lying in the roadway. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
