37-Year-Old Tyler Tompkins Killed In A Pedestrian Crash In Eldon (Eldon, MO)

A tragic incident unfolded early Tuesday morning as a man was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking along Highway 52 near the entrance to McDonald’s, as reported by the Eldon Police Department. 

The victim, identified as 37-year-old Tyler Tompkins of Eldon, was hit around 5:25 a.m. by a 2001 Chevy Silverado traveling westbound on the highway, according to MSHP Troop F. 

Despite efforts, Tompkins succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital at 6:13 a.m. on April 16. His family has been notified of the heartbreaking loss.

Updates regarding the crash will be provided by the Eldon Police Department in a statement expected on Wednesday.
