37-Year-Old Thomas Borrell Killed In A Fatal Crash in Knoxville (Knoxville, TN)

According to the recent report lodged at the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, a Pennsylvania drag strip competitor was killed in a fatal crash

The victim lost his life after failing to stop the vehicle after completing his run. The vehicle flew through the finish line leading to the wreckage. He had to be evacuated from his vehicle. 

Upon the arrival of the Cumberland County Sheriff, Thomas Borrell was pronounced dead by the officials. 

Investigator David Hamby along with Deputy Brent Griffin reported that the victim did his race at the Crossville Dragway off Creston Road in an event “Rocky Top Diesel Shootout”. 

The driver crossed the finish line at 125mph in an attempt to activate a parachute which was to slow down the dragster. 

According to the officials, it is believed that the driver had some vehicle malfunction which caused the incident.

The incident led to the calling off the event. 

Further Investigations are going on.
