A tragic incident unfolded on Sunday night as a car struck and killed Steven Noe, 37, of Cortland, who was crouched down on state Route 305. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred just after 9 p.m. in the eastbound lane.
Despite immediate medical attention, Noe succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The circumstances surrounding why Noe was crouched in the roadway remain unknown, with the release mentioning that he was wearing black clothing.
While the crash is still under investigation, no criminal charges have been filed against the driver involved. It is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
