The California Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian accident that killed a 37-year-old man. They later identified the victim as Melesio Gomes.
Roughly at 10:29 p.m., Melesio Gomes was struck and killed by a vehicle on Magnolia Avenue and Byron Street, the home gardens area. The officials have not disclosed any details regarding the vehicle involved in the collision.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
