According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Redwood City on Monday. The crash happened on Cañada Road near Filoli Garden at around 5 p.m.
According to the investigators, an Acura sedan and an unknown bicycle were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver of the sedan was traveling northbound and crashed the bicyclist.
A 37-year-old man was identified as the bicyclist who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.
According to the reports, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
