The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle collision that killed a Calistoga man in Napa County on Sunday.
Roughly at 12:40 a.m., a 37-year-old man in a 2005 Honda, lost control of the vehicle and swerved off the road. The vehicle struck a pole and a tree on Southbound Highway 29/128, north of Ehlers Lane.
The man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
