The Washington State Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Lynnwood on Saturday night. The accident occurred on Highway 2, near Skyhomish at around 8 p.m.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A motorcycle was headed east on the highway when the driver drifted off the road. This caused him to crash into a guardrail.
The driver of the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is still being investigated at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
